Liverpool FC and the world of football are in mourning after the tragic death of Diogo Jota, who died at the age of 28 in a car crash in Spain. The Portuguese international was admired for his versatility on the pitch and his professionalism off it. As investigations into the accident continue, fans and fellow professionals alike are paying heartfelt tribute to a career and life cut tragically short.
The club have been informed the 28-year-old has passed away following a road traffic accident in Spain along with his brother, Andre.
Liverpool FC will be making no further comment at this time and request the privacy of Diogo and Andre’s family, friends, teammates and club staff is respected as they try to come to terms with an unimaginable loss.
