Two of Ghana’s rising officiating talents, Selorm Yao Bless and Patricia Kyeraa, have been named among the elite referees for the 2025 WAFU B U-20 Boys Cup. Their appointment is a testament to the GFA Referees Department’s efforts in building excellence and integrity in officiating. This West African youth tournament not only showcases future football icons but also celebrates the quality of officiating emerging from Ghana.
The duo is part of a carefully selected team of match officials chosen by the West African Football Union (WAFU) for the prestigious youth tournament.
Selorm Yao Bless will serve as a Centre Referee, while Patricia Kyeraa has been named as an Assistant Referee.
In total, seven referees and seven assistant referees from across the region have been selected to officiate matches during the tournament, which will run from July 10 to 23, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE) and the University of Ghana.
The WAFU B U-20 Cup of Nations is a key event in the West African football calendar, providing a vital platform for young talents to showcase their skills in a competitive environment. The 2025 edition will feature seven nations: host Ghana, Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger, Nigeria, and Togo.
