As the 2025/26 football season approaches, the Referees Department of the GFA has published its comprehensive training calendar to get match officials ready for the campaign. The program will feature nationwide seminars, physical drills, and laws of the game reviews to strengthen officiating capacity. The initiative underscores the GFA’s commitment to improving match quality and ensuring professional standards among referees.
This will be followed by courses for the Premier League, Access Bank Division One League, and Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League in September and October, just before the leagues commence.
The Referee’s Department is working tirelessly to ensure referees officiating in the top-tier competitions receive comprehensive training to maintain the integrity of the leagues.
