The Ghana Football Association has released the provisional list of players selected for the Black Queens’ pre-WAFCON training camp. With the tournament drawing near, the squad announcement signals the beginning of final preparations. The lineup includes notable regulars alongside promising young stars, offering a glimpse into Ghana’s tactical plans as they aim to make a deep run in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Black Queens Coach, Kim Lars Björkegren, has announced a 24-player provisional squad for the team’s final camp ahead of the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Notable players such as Princella Adubea, Doris Boaduwaa, Evelyn Badu, Grace Asantewaa, Anasthesia Achiaa, and Portia Boakye are included in the squad.
Four players from the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League have made the cut: They include, Comfort Yeboah and Nancy Amoh of Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Afi Amenyeku of Northern Ladies, and Kerrie McCarthy of Kumasi Academy.
The Black Queens are in Group B alongside South Africa, Tanzania, and Mali, with the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2024 set to take place from July 5 to July 26, 2025.
